I reckon they could enter one of these for next year's Le Man race and still stand a good chance of winning!

I was only looking at estate cars the other day, what with the band, dog and all. I might be able to get to a gig on time for once in one of these...

Having spent a good part of the weekend in one of these I can give it my whole hearted approval - labrador sedatives optional.

Matt.

Isn't smacking the poor blighter about the head with the rear windscreen enough?

An eight year old 100//S4 accelerates almost as fast, is not limited to 155 (simple tuning will get you 165, where permitted), and is just as practically useful, with all the real quattro stuff rather than the electronic stuff they put in them nowadays. Plus it's less thirsty, and completely inconspicuous. And you can pick them up for less than £6000.

OK - if I could afford an RS6 I'd buy it...

Saw a dark blue RS6 with "Audi Press-mobile" plates in a car-park-field at Rockingham on Saturday.

Must say that whilst I lust after an RS4, the RS6 looks a bit bloated and Audi still cant seem to offer decent looking alloys (do these ones bend as well ?)

what are you smoking. almost all of audi's rims are hot. the wide 5-spoke ones on the tt and a6, the 'star' pattern on the new a4's, the 18 spoke ones that are faulty are gorgeous, the dinner-plate ones on the a8/a8l are very classy... bmw and mercedes wheels are way lamer on most models. the m3, m5, m roadster, and coupe wheels, and the 5 spoke version of the m5's wheels that you sometimes see on 540i sports are among my faves though

New S4 looks interesting too - sharper design, more useful overall size etc.

Got to agree about Audi wheels - generally lovely designs, and as an overall range better than any other manufacturer.

Had one, goes like Sh!t off a shovel BUT don't expect Audi to honour their guarantees! Mine blew turbos twice and the yhave to remove the motor to change them. teh second time they actually expected me to pay for it. Result, I now drive a Jag..... After 11 Audis in series!

Fair enough but as i remember from you profile your S4 was heavily modified , so i guess that explains the warrantee problem

Wasn't it an official Audi/ABT tuned version though, sold with the warranty said to be valid?

EXACTLY! I don't have the money or inclination to buy something thats not guaranteed. ABT guaranteed the first set and I got the car back after 10 DAYS in the workshop. Audi promised that the after that that all guarantees would be honoured by them (bound to guarantee under german law everything for 24months) blew again and the crims refused to pay....... thusly 27 vehicles AUdi/VW got chopped out of our fleet.....
Now drive Ford.com and associates!

My Dad's A4 is quick enough, and thats just a standard 1.8 20V straight-4. I saw them test this car on Driven, I think, and it looked bloody fast. To 60 quicker than a 911. It makes you wonder how the hell it can get the traction to shift the 2 ton that quick. Anyone know how the 155mph limit can be fiddled with? My car's electronically limited to 115mph, not 155 like I wish

This thread seems to be attached to both the RS6 announcement (as seen at the top of the thread when viewed in the Gassing Station) and the Roadtest. Which admittedly makes quite a lot of sense.

God I'm bored. How can it only be 2o'clock...
