Anyone hear about the Fireblade that hit some MPs car? got any links to post? apparently was in the papers yesterday or today? think the riders head went through the car windscreen. Urgh.

Saw it in the mirror yesterday. Young guy (25 I think) lost it and ploughed into the MP's car. That was the jist of the story but it was the mirror so the facts could be completely different. Sad story nonetheless.

The mp was Dr Liam Fox

he is shadow health minister and incidentally a former GP - sadly this didn't help the biker - although he did try at the scene prior to the blood wagon arriving.

I guess the bike must have been mishandling ? either that or the rider must have made a fairly major mistake ? -

Sounds like the biker got the exit of a bend wrong and hit the car......easy done. Just another accident....sad though!

Was in the local paper (Scotsman) yesterday.

Sounds like the biker took the corner too fast and couldn't hold it on his side of the road on the exit. Just missed the first oncoming car, but went wider still and went head on into Liam Fox's car.

(disclaimer - don't know what happened, driver of first car just said he had 'lost control')

Sad, but not unique.

Northampton Chronicle and Echo report tonight that the rider will be buried with his leathers. His mother lives about a mile away from me.
