New and concept cars from US auto shows

Pictures galore from LA and Detroit


Dozens of pictures have reached PH from the LA and Detroit Motor Shows this week, and we'll be publishing as many as possible over the next few days, once we've had time to sort them all out.

I'll take the Shelby and the Viper, please.

And I know the DBR9's a racing car, but does everything have to be aesthetically wrecked when it's taken to the track these days?

Is it just me or does that Shelby look like it's had a massive botox injection up it's ar$e? Neat front, but the rear end is all bloated looking.

DB9R looks fantastic, won't it be great to have yet another Brit team to cheer on at Le Mans! As for the others, they are all a bit "so what"? Dodge, Ferrari and Spiker haven’t we been seeing those at shows for years now? And what is that ridiculous Jeep all about? Rich...

Caught the tail-end of a piece about the Jaguar Advanced Lightweight Coupe on the Six O'Clock News.

The impression given was that it's going into production.

Crack that safe!!! seriously yuk . . . looks like a that ugly Jap roadbox Farago reviewed a year or so back. I think Ted pulled it out / can't find it / all for the best . . .

The Saturn Sky seems to borrow rather too many cues from the Corvette C6 - which means I'm not keen on either.
