Turner LMP in demand at Autosport
Track day car builder 'swamped' with demand
Steve Turner, owner-designer of the company that hand-builds the Turner LMP, reckons he's in the happy position of not having a moment to draw breath after the Autosport Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
Turner said that as Scotland’s only car producer, he's had "no time to rest on my laurels after a record breaking show. T.A.D. has to set up the track tests pre-booked by very interested parties after inspecting the LMP on the Track Sense stand at Autosport."
Individuals, racers and race clubs are all demanding track time in the LMP with a view to making it their vehicle of choice in 2005, said Turner. From mainland Europe and the UK, "fans of speed and style have been booking test drives."
Turner said that, "As if all this interest was not enough, TAD has to have the LMP down at Donington Park at the end of the month for testing by a well known hill climber who is interested in having the RST V8 engine option in the LMP for the 2005 season championship."

I reckon I'll rent one for a few fast laps and try to get my name on the books for the Turner Challenge!
Anyone know what other cars have been produced from scratch in Scotland? They can't have been anywhere as near as this little beauty or we would have remembered!
