Subaru gives three years' free servicing
It's a good time to buy a new Scoobie
It's a good time to buy a new Scoobie -- Subaru says that all its new cars are to include three years’ free servicing.
The offer runs from 1 February to 30 April and covers the entire Impreza, Forester, Legacy and Outback line-up.
As part of an aggressive new sales drive, this gives owners three years’ coverage up to 36,000 miles, which covers the first three major services. All items listed in the Subaru Owner’s Service and Warranty book are free of charge – including labour.
Apart from the free servicing offer, all models include a six year/60,000 mile warranty plus three years’ paintwork and now 12 years’ anti-corrosion cover (with inspections) and three years’ free membership of Subaru Assistance.
Like most car companies, Subaru is clearly very keen to drive up new car sales, which give the current glut of the things, is good news for us.

Great, that's two offers of free servicing since I bought my WRX just over a year ago. Really makes you want to buy another knowing that you were ripped off!
Write to Subaru UK and tell them how you feel. Some car companies consider giving special deals to keep existing (and hopefully future)customer goodwill.
When the rear anti roll bar mountings, broke off on my non-franchised dealer bought, Porsche 911, Porsche offered to cough up for the repair, even though the car was 6 years out of warranty.

What??
The whole point of a deal is thats it better value than before.
Meaning there will always be customers who have paid more in the past.
So you are not being ripped off
Are you saying car makers should not have deals and promotions because it will upset current customers!!

No, we are just saying WE ARE UPSET.
I just hope it will never happen to you, missing a £800 bargain isn't an easy thing to live with when you've just spent up to your last penny on a new car.
I'll write to Subaru, definitely.

Whilst I sympathise that you might have missed out on a deal by a few months, or even days, and agree that writing to Subaru is a good idea part of me says sorry, that's life!
I've bought a new DVD/home cinema system that a mate bought £250 cheeper from the same chain of retailers a month later and a mobile that was £50 less a week after I got it in the last 12 months and that's just off the top of my head.
Some you win, some you lose - at the end of the day any product is only worth what you will pay for it.
Took the camera back, said it was faulty(it wasn't), got the full money back and bought another for the £149 price. £50 up and a new camera!

A little off topic but a friend bought a camera from Asda £199 with a 12 months money back guaranty. Two months later saw the same camera in Asda reduced to £149

Inspired!
....where there's a will.....I never buy new as I see soo much money being thrown away, If I did I would be scooting around in a shitmobile, buy carefully look at cars that deprciate hard and avoid.
Buy a couple of years old extend the warranty
People at work think I drive crazy expensive cars, but when you add it all up,there Mondeo's losing half its value in a year. It cost them more per mile than me.
Its win win I have not lost any money apart from running cost for a good few years, I except my M5 will lose value but I knew that the day I bought it, but it won't lose as much as most.

Tried that - the first free servicing offer started about four months after mine was registered. I wrote to ask for a goodwill payment but they were'nt interested. Will have another Audi next time.
Would you look at yourselves! How would a business survive if it retroactively offered all its deals to all previous customers? Clearly you thought the car was ok value when you bought it.
Yeah its sucks, but its no bodies fault, and they don't owe you anything.
p.s. good luck with the audi, their dealer network are
Saw some Detroit Show stuff on TV: all future Subarus will have a front like the pic (they said) . . . Sad . . .
