147 GTA

Alfa are joining the hot hatch race with a new version of the 147 to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. The 147 GTA features a 3.2 litre V6 (one of the best in the business) chucking out 250bhp.

Can't wait to see this car, it should be the best of it's type by a long way.

Bring on the Focus RS v Golf R32 v 147 GTA battle.

Wasn't Alfa's other GTA met with much disappointment? (sure I read that somewhere)

If they can get the suspension setup sorted, it should be a bit of a giggle.

Hehe!! The 156 GTA has bad suspension and brakes, however straight line speed is very Impressive!! SO if they get the suspension and bakes sorted in the 147, it should be alot of fun!! The focus RS has brilliant handling thanks to the quaife Diff, but, I'm not sure it has the BHP to match. We'll see, I thought ALfa would tune up a 4 pot to be honest......

I love the sound of this 147 but having seen the pictures it only looks ok. I think the RS Focus looks quit good and the write ups are great but its a Ford.

The R32 turned out to be great fun , where my 4motion would be sliding this just gripped and went round the corner .
It felt so clamped to the road , eexhaust note was quite fruity as well , it really was a lot of fun with good mid range performance .

Cool.. how much are they going to remove from your wallet for one?

I assume the engine was pretty tight (low miles?)...

Would you call it more of a lazy cruiser, or can you really hussle the thing round the bends?

No its not a cruiser at all i was very impressed , you can just throw the thing into bends and it just go`s round them and feels very very stable , as i said where my 4 motion would be understeering this just went where you pointed it

Over here it`s 320,000SEK about £22,k + £1400 for full leather , certainly not cheap but it really was a hoot to drive , it had only done about 600km but the salesman did tell me to give it some ! i was very supprised at how good it was , only gripe was the steering being a bit vague , now if they just striped out some of the weight

edited to say and it looks great
