"Hello, Norwich Union? Yes, it's a car...it's red...."

Seen that run many times at Santa Pod, along with the other Street Eliminator cars - excellent stuff. Three foot wheelstands on treads and regular unleaded is pretty impressive!

One of Steve's competitors in Street Eliminator is John Sleath, whose supercharged V8 Audi Coupe was first to run at 180mph on street treads in the 1/4 mile, although his Elapsed Time was a tenth slower than Steve Patemans best time. Andy Frosts Vauxhall VX4/90 ran quickest mph in the World Street Race in America, managing 175mph in the 1/4 mile, but again, on a slightly slower ET of around 8.4 seconds.

Seems convinving the USA that Street Eliminator produces the quickest street legal machinery wasn't enough. They've been at it over in Belgium too...

T'was Ian Hook in this little beauty...

That has just been crowned King Of Europe.. .

I had a good look over the car at Santa Pod during the Main Event (between us running) and it's really nice...

But then again, most of the CCSE cars are fantastic, Andy Frost's Victor is lovely.. (and featured on the 118 advert)

You already know what Steve Pateman's car looks like... and there are some other fantastic cars in the class..

How about Steve Neimantas' Aston Martin....

There are more... but my dinner is on the table!

thanks for the compliments fellas.....
We have now proved beyond all doubt that the Street Eliminator series has the fastest true street driven cars in the world. We would challenge anyone anywhere to race under the rules we have(optimax fuel, block treaded tyres,20/25 mile cruise etc).........
Next agenda on the list is showing the VW crowd at the Bug Jam at Santa Pod July 24/25/26th.Come along and be astounded....
ANDY.

I agree they are incredable. I must try and make those dates!

Always wantd to know this: as they are road legal ands have to do the cruise (with compulsary fill-up, I believe), do ou use them on the road at any other time? Seeing one driving down the road would be inredable!

I heard rumour of one of the CCSE guys running in his new engine by driving the length of the M50 and back...

Can't quite remember where I heard that, but I think it's true!

Red, this is outstandingly cheeky, so put me in my place if you want to.. but how would a member of another race crew end up in the passenger seat of a street eliminator car when cruise time came along?

The "Andy Frost goes shopping" clip on the (CC)SE DVD always makes me chuckle.

Shame we don't get to see the SE cars (well, running in SE at any rate) at the FIA events any more.
