Ace Cafe Owner Honoured
He's Car Enthusiast of the Year
Mark Wilsmore, owner of the famous Ace Café on London’s North Circular Road, is opening its doors this Saturday, 24th September to celebrate his ‘Meguiar’s UK Car Enthusiast of the Year 2005’ award with a special party at the venue.
Mark beat 25 other nominees to the honour because of his tireless work to restore the Ace Café to its original 1950s condition and, in doing so, making it a magnet for bikers and car enthusiasts once again. Ace Café reopened in 2001.
The award was conferred by an independent panel of 12 automotive journalists specially brought together by Meguiar’s, the manufacturer of automotive "surface care products".
Discussion
I run a VW/VAG night at the Ace cafe on the last Tuesday of every month as part of our club www.elite1000.co.uk
Mark has always got time to sit down and chat along with throwing ideas in to the pot regarding events he would like to do and will always take advise and also give his views on different night he olds at the Ace.
He is more than deserving of the Honour and I hope the success continues.
Well done Mark.

Super guy, super place and a really great friendly bunch of people there. I was there last Friday for Middlesex TVRCC monthly meet and the atmosphere was terrific with TVR petrolheads having a real good natter with all the bikers and assembled petrolheads. May it long continue. The sort of place that even Two JAgs Prescott would be made to feel welcome. Even more so if he announced plans to abolish all these stupid speed restriction schemes that governments love to inflict on us poor enthusiastic motorists. Long may the donuts and wheelies continue on the road outside. The old bill have the right idea in giving it a wide berth. It is part of English motoring folklore.
