BIKER Ross Curwell, 38, was banned for a year and given 100 hours community service yesterday after being caught riding at 137mph near Mold, North Wales.

Dear Magistrate

I would like to apply for the position of Speeding Git of November.

Please note that I would like to travel northbound on the A1(M) at speeds of between 120 and 140 mph.

I would like to apply for a 15 day ban and am prepared to pay £250 for the priveledge.

Please remeber that if you reject this application I will take you to the Court of Rights as you will clearly be discriminating against me 'cos I am not a flash Geordie Bar Steward. Just because I am a southern softie does not mean I do not have the same rights.....et cetera, et cetera...

Maybe I was given more as I was young at the time, and driving a shitbox escort (albeit a new one).

I doubt it can, remember it's only a 1.8 little lump. 140 max I reckon.

What sort of fine did they hammer you with?

I clearly saw the look of disgust in the Magistrates eyes when the Persecutor outlined the facts:

"was driving a BMW 328i cabriolet on the M23 Motorway at a speed of 122mph"

Persecutor made sure he clearly emphasised the vehicle - CNUT

What difference does it make whether it was an escort or a BMW, other than Hint, Hint he's got money.

Think the fine was about 350 or similar - long time ago now. I guess they wanted to clamp down hard at an early age to prevent further speeding - yeah, right! Hopefully if I get caught again I'll look more respectable in an audi.

My g/f's got a TT 225 - I'll have to check it out!

Even the RS6 can only do 155mph as all Audis are electronically limited. There is no way on gods green earth that a TT can do 160.

yep - I had indicated well over 150 in ours..

what makes me laugh is how the Sun is so bloody 'people's pal', calling the TT 'flash' and 'racy'

ferkin cretins..

I don't think this necessarily comes down to him being a 'star' - more the inconsistencies in sentencing in magistrates courts..

I wouldn't be surprised if they're just generally a little more lenient up there.. they're not so bloody uptight in Geordieland as some of these prissy southern pricks, after all

RS6 is LIMITED to 155. Without the limiter it would be 185 / 190. Remember, it has a 4.2 litre V8 with 450bhp. I seriously doubt a 1.8 TT will reach higher than 140, despite some mag's ideas.

Thats ok then, thought for a minute wots the point in having 5 litres when a 1.8 will do nearly as fast.

All I know is that they are a damn site slower than a Griff, as I have to show them occasionally.

Would have like to have seen what the annoying untalented t*sser would have got if speeding cases were held with juries.
