Ummmm I imagine the next step is to remove airbags from cars and sell them to parts people, who will sell airbags to people who find there car does not have one.

Good way to make money out of your company car !!! :-)

What protection is there on offer? Getting the car's history checked is the first port of call. If the car hasn't been in an accident then you needn't worry. If it has, get it inspected.

Because a car repaired after an unreported accident is more likely to be repaired properly?
