Proves to me that all these campaigners will complain about anything.
I understand if they where chopping down 'bluebell wood' for the new airport access road.
But improving a junction to ease congestion (lowering pollution).
On a road that's already there.
Ummm !!
While flying to Dublin last week, I followed the M4 for a while and thought about all those comments about the South becoming one big concrete car park.
Load of old tosh, there are loads of fields, trees and stuff the roads only take up a tiny tiny strip between them.
Plenty more room for roads.
Instead of toll Motorways they should build special 'drivers' toll roads with nice twisty bits.
Let only one car down every couple of minutes and no speed limit.
Ummmm down a straight doing 95 break hard into 'Bluebell wood' hairpin, little jump over 'babbling brook' bridge.........

As someone who uses this junction every day, I'm both looking forward to the completion, but also not looking forward to the (at least) 12 month build time. It's going to be mental.

Sadly, there was a much better proposal in the past (IMHO) which I have marked on an A-Z. However, it didn't go ahead, and they built MORE offices in the place the road was to run!
