I bought on for a tenner from my local market - bulk buying would get a big reduction on that. I notice they won't accept "toy" guns - does a plastic pistol have to fire BBs before its mistaken for a real gun?

Question for Madcop - if I'm using an airpistol inside my house and am seen through a window by a passing nosey git how much trouble can I get in? (assuming I'm not doing anything really stupid like pointing it at him)

How much trouble can you get in...?

My cousin nearly got shot by armed police when someone reported him for running round with a gun.

The fact that he had nothing with him, not even a BB gun, didn't dissuade the "Come out now or we'll shoot approach."

Best not to get associated with that sort of thing...

Hmm, if you want a rapid response from your local coppers add the phrase "...and I think they might be armed" just before you hang up.
