Think it's illegal as it involves leaving the car running while unattended.
However, if your name begins with Earl and you're living in the ancestral home, I doubt anyone would notice at the other end of the mile long drive.
Oh, if it's your gearbox that wants warming, I don't think remote start will fix that.

As suggested before, If your gearbox is the reason you are warming the car up I think you'd be better off spending your money on a new gearbox, I think I paid £600 for my clifford with all the toys on.
Remote start is fine on Manual cars, but with the clifford you have to "prep" it prior to getting out of the car the night before, if you forget to do this the remote start button won't work, this stops you or your kiddie pushing the button by accident while the car is in gear and launching it through your garage door

Have you changed the g-box oil lately/ever?
Can get notchy boxes in winter, mine is a right bugger if it's been below 0 degree's... Gotta just double clutch usually, and then it's much nicer, or I just skip from 1st to 3rd etc.
Best way to warm any car up is to drive it, sitting on your drive is possibly the worst way to warm a car up... takes 5x longer!

I had a clifford concept 50 autostart on my ferrari, it was good. Basically started/stopped the engine & if any pedals were pressed ot the gearlever touched or handbrake taken off it would stop and immobilise itself.
I read about one the other day (may have even been on PH) that detects if the car battery is running down and starts the engine to re-charge it. How cool (and alarming for passers-by in the airport car-park) is that!

take it that was on an auto? be some embarresment if it was manual and left in gear...!
what happens when fuel is low - does it stop starting the engine or keep trying to turn the starter and empty both fuel tank and battery.

Can't recommend one of these, ever since the thermostat on mine failed "short circuit" and it boiled the coolant away, melted it's own internal seals, so the coolant leaked out, then melted the internal wiring, short-circuited the mains and tripped the house RCD - so we overslept (no alarm clock) and then I had to remove the poxy thing in the blowing snow. And to add insult to injury, Kenlowe said they had no record of my buying it, despite my having purchased it from them directly (I wonder if the VAT man knows they lose VAT records?) and initially refused to honour their guarantee. Once I found the receipt and they replaced it, I sold it on eBay.
They won't be getting any more of my money.
yeh... was a close call..!
Came round a corner rather to fast and hit something slippy on the road (thats my story anyway!!) and didn’t have my traction on, (stupid I know) and I lost it . Back end swung out and I was heading towards a park car – very quickly!
Tried to accelerate out of it (forgot is was 400bhp!!!!!) and the back end swung the other way. Near side back wheel hit the kerb, hard, and it swung me round. This was lucky as it swung me past the parked car!! Would have been very nasty if I had hit it.
Alloy totally smashed, tyre ripped to pieces (brand new 275 P Zero’s!!) wheel facing inwards and rear arm totally screwed so g*d know what damage I have done! Ferrari are picking it up later to have a look.
Only had the bugger three weeks too!!!
Oh well. ‘Tis the season to be jolly!!!! :-D
