The last 5 mins were brilliant, especially when they gave JCs car to The Stig. Bloody hilarious; the look on his face was priceless

I suspect Points of View will get a few sackloads of letters about that. There was a slightly homophobic tone to a few bits of the show. Still the best car programme on the TV. if not THE best program.

Homophobic!!! jesus don't let's go down that road again...the whole appeal for me of this show is the relaxation of Political Correctness, I can watch JC et al say what they want knowing full well that it is not out to offend or denigrate anyone, just leave PC out of it please.

Mr Clarkson has already done his bit in the paper about being too gay for the Tuscan R, so maybe he enjoys rattling their cages, no doubt good sport

Cheers

Except that the car the Stig drove was a different one from the one Clarkson drove earlier in the program - different numebr, different colour. A set-up, me-thinks. These things don't happen by chance.

JC was certainly on good form tonight, but how on earth can the new Renaults be regarded as stylish. Is he on drugs?

The number plate was different because the one JC was driving was just a name plate "SL55 AMG" a 55 registration isn't legal for a start as we are only on 52's at the minute. The one the Stig was driving most likely had his real number plate on it, and as for the colour it looked the same to me. And I think the expression on JC's face said it all, complete shock

I thought it was a different car when watching 'live'. As I had recorded it for my brother I just checked the video - it WAS a different AMG, different colour for starters.

Thought it was the best TG so far. Grannies doing handbrake parking and best laugh of all was the "Gay" Nissan Paris-Dakar team. Very funny because they did all look very camp!!

Homophobic? Don't be ridiculous....

There's a certain Luftwaffe quality to these new uber Mercs and frankly, they make eminent sense to anyone seeking automotive nirvana.

Checked my video and I have to agree with actech, plates aside I think it's the same car.
The colour is confusing cos I think it's one of those TVR stylee colour morphing paints, and it was pissing it down when the Stig drove it, but dry and sunny (ish) when JC was filming. Clarkson is no actor, and his outrage was real. It was his car IMHO, or at least he truly believed it was, either way VERY funny!

Cool - as in attitude to life...

Not giving a toss about what clothes is one example. JC on the 'What not too where@ was very funny. He just said yes to whatever they wanted to get out of the torture of clothes shopping.
