That is one beefy loooking car!

There seems to be a bit of '67 Shelby 500 about the whole thing. Methinks they too have been watching a bit of gone in sixty seconds.

There's alot of weight to the design, but it is sadly lacking in delicacey.

Looks a bit like an Aston martin Vantage (the beefy twin supercharged V8 job)...

I quite like it. A bit difficult to tell from the grainy photos, so I guess we'll just have to wait for it's unveiling in Detroit in January for a proper verdict.

I hope the roll bar is an "active" jobbie, and can be lowered...this'll help the looks.

I guess it's hoping too much that it'll be produced in RHD for the UK market? It'd be nice to see it going up against the Vauxhall/Holden coupe (if that ever gets the green light for sale over here)

General impression in the States is that this is just a "one-off" jobbie for the Detroit auto show at the beginning of the year. Although the next Gen will be based on the platform shared by the Lincoln LS, Jag S-type, Ford Thuderbird as stated.

I hope It's not a one-off as it looks like a 'stang should - harder than Lennox Lewis with a broken beer bottle. Aggressive styling without pplastic add-ons is the sign of a real muscle car - true V8 thunder! :dammitIwantone:

Prelude,

I know it's a yank, and I'd expect it to look butcher than tank girl in a dress, but I was really sighting "delicacey" in relative terms.

The Shelby, though no wuss, also carried alot more elegance in the balence of it's stance, but maybe it would be helped by a fastback fixed head body.

mmm...I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It typical of the retro design craze in the US, I like the side profile but think the rear of the car is trying and failing to mimmick the original.

the new one looks much much better than the old one. You have to agree with me on that? Since Ford seem to be making nice cars now, e.g. the new GT40
