After visiting Gloster Cars website, I paid them a visit last weekend. The pictures on the web do their present machine no justice. A beautiful piece of engineering only matched by the enthusiasm of the guys who have produced it. (They also serve nice tea and choccy bikkies!)...

I do beleive this car has great potential - has anyone else managed a peak recently? or even a drive per chance.....

The one on the web is there first prototype, can you believe it?

The car i saw which is nearing completion in there work shop is there production prototype. This car has the new mustang quad cam v8, running an Emerald M3D management system. This is hooked up to an audi 6 speed transaxle. AP brakes the size of Wales, aircon. etc etc. All the right bits. Attention to detail is something else! This is heaven for anyone who is fed up with shoddy build quality of say a Blackpool built car!! The interior on the latest car very tastfull too, all black and aluminium, a huge number of bespoke parts combined with OE stuff to good effect. Production cars will be only £69k or there abouts. They don't supply kits, only turn key cars.
I'll put some pics on from my visit when i get home later today.

Very impressive - but it should be at 69K!

Ahh but then, you're not advertising the Gloster copycat Ford GT either.

It's a pretty rash assumption that people 'fed up' with TVR's alleged quality issues would want to cough up to twice the price on a kit car IMHO.

I came across one of the half dozen Ray Mallock-built GT40 recreations a couple of years ago for the price of a new Gloster. If I fancied a '40, seeking out one of the ultra-rare RML cars is where I'd head at this price level ...or just wait for used Ford GT prices to settle. In fact it would be easier to stick a pukka new Ford GT on finance than raise £69K on a Gloster.

Small Torque: if you're following this thread, can I outline 'good form' around these parts...
...submit a news article to Ted
...maybe invite Graham Bell or Manek Dubash to drive a Gloster and review it on here
...PH'ers will then inevitably start a thread in which you'll be able to participate and answer all the silly questions

Better still, bring a Gloster to a PH meet or two - I suspect that V8 would sound great on a Tunnel Run...

£70k for a kit car that noone has ever heard of doesn't seem to make much sense. Particularly as you will probably be able to pick up a two year old Ford Gt for just a little more, or a new one for under £140k right now

I am reminded of the scene on Extras (Ricky Jervais) where Les Dennis phones the celebrity spotter desk of a gossip magazine to report that Les Dennis has just been seen in Bond Street spending "shitloads"...

I've just visited the workshop, the current car looks awesome!, If your looking for a better tvr look no futher than here. Before you post 'what's your relationship with Gloster car' I actually took the time out to check the car for my self as I was in the area! - I only wish I had the 60K asking price.

Amazing.

If you want some publicity, please contact the news desk. Endless profiles professing to have just stumbled across the company rarely convince.
