Genuinely new concept or another tedious concept?

It may be an alternative to the current plague of SUVs, but it's not going to be an alternative to the next plague of SUVs.
From the concepts I've seen they're all going to look like that!

Looks like a Ford Ka front with a Renault Megane rear.

In the future we will all be driving cars with GM (geneticly modified) tires, which can be any colour we desire. The exhuast system will not produce ANY harmful odours, but instead it will produce any smell we want, like Orange Zest or Banana Milkshake. After a set time, each odour will biodegrade into fresh air again. This way the cities of the United Nations of America (most of earth) will not end up smelling like one of those horrid old farms, with 10000s of conflicting smells.

And the climate control will be zoned, and adjust to each persons' latent heat capacity. I can't wait! Its hard to get things done when your half cold blooded.
I can't even swim in the Med because its too cold.

I quite like the look of it, but I fear that they don't have the guts of Renault, to actually make them.
