GTD, GT40 replca makers in liquidation
Discussion
A short piece in the Which Kit magazine Feb 2003, GTD, well known long term manufacturers of a GT40 replica have gone bankrupt. No other details given, anyone know what's happened to them?
Maybe their stuff was just too expensive, I sent for their brochure some time ago, and the prices were approaching Ultima's

Its not the first time the GTDs makers have gone belly up, its the eternal conflict of making a high quality low volume product at a price the market can stand.
I wouldn't be surprised if it resurfaces Pheonix like from the economic flames once again and the whole cycle starts again. Nice car, if its good enough for Tony Marsh its certainly good enough for the rest of us.

Suspected all might not be well. Did contact GTD about doing a test for Pistonheads some time last year but it wasn't convenient at the time. Been trying to contact them again recently without success, so now know why.
As gnomesmith says, the car could well reappear. Let's hope so because it's an impressive piece of kit (pun intended).
