Ted,
you do really need to get out more.

The fantastic ability of these estate cars/large saloons/MPV's is that you can fill them with pies and booze - great your Lotus 190 sport/SR3 sticks like poo to a stick, but can you fill it with half the contents of majestic / recline (remove) the seats and do the dirty's with your other half etc etc.

A broadened appreciation of all things automotive allows you to respect "wider range" of things the particular vehicle can do...and lets face it, once you've driven V. fast in something nice, what else is there left to do ?

I can superciliously look down on the majority of maankind from the raised perch of my MPV with wife and 4 kids safe in the knowledge that i'm obviously hugely fertile and hung like a bull who is 78 years of age.

Nonetheless, it's also very nice to know there's an M5 in the drive and a Griff 500 in the garage when I feel like it.

Respectfully yours after 2 bottles of excellent value, very nice red burgundy courtesy of Seckford wines.

Come on Short, Barffy and teams for Daytona !!!

Totally Agree, with Tuscan gone for a while now the owner of Previa MPV and Audi S6 Avant (older model) both great cars in their own way. Other than the previous TVRs, the Audi is the best car I have owned. 230BHP, 4 Wheel Drive, 6 speed box, every conceivable option for ...... £9K
