Hi all,
i own a seat leon cupra r and im due new tyres soon on the front, currently got the Pirelli crap on,can anyone suggest a better tyre at the moment ive heard that the Goodyear F1 GSD3' are the popular choice but what kind of mileage are people getting from them?
I also like the Look of the Yokohama Prada 2 what are these like?anyone got them?
how much mileage are you getting from them and what sort of grip?
Thanks in advance.

Michelin Pilot Sport. Not cheap though, but seems to have all the grip of its competitors whilst having none of the noise and also lasts quite long.

F1's are the best by a mile, They won't last that long, about 10,000 if well used!

might try the michelin sports then looking for something that will hold up well for a while although the f1 seem to be the choice of you pistonheads!

Have ahad about 3 sets of F1s on my TT- tend to get around 15k out of a full set. Imagine you'd get less than that from your fronts and more from your rears. Driving tends to be mostly commuting - about 1/3rd motorway.

Before that I had Pirelli P-Zeros which lasted around the same but wore badly. Mind you the F1s seem to get fairly noisy toward the end of their lives, they're not the quietest of tyres anyway but boy do they grip.

Mine need changing again before the winter and I'll be getting the same again £100 per corner for 225/40x18s isnt bad.

A slightly pricier alternative (but one that's worn very well on my Focus) is ContiSports. Came 2nd to F1's in the evo group test, but seem to last longer...at a price.

F1's are quality mate, i also drive a modertly powerfull front wheele drive car and find them really grippy. My only gripe is that on ether side of the main tred pattern (on the inside an outside) of the tyre they wear very quickly. This does not make them illigal, they just look very tatty

a good choice for a budget is toyo proxes. They last well and are only slightly less grippy than F1's but are a good deal cheaper.
