Police in Wales being sensible?

I liked the quote:

"The rate has been coming down and the emphasis has been about speed. But in Gwent last year there were 47 deaths and the police consider only three of those to be related to speed - the rest is driver error."

Indeed, to be commended.

Let's also see some emphasis on driver training too.

But then I could point out there are so many scameras in South Wales, the Traffic Police probably didn't have anything to do

Obviously someone at Gwent Police is going to get the sack.

Way too much clear headed thinking going on there. The idea that all 47 deaths were not due directly to speed wont be allowed to remain public knowledge too long.

Indeed....

The "don't play Football, Rugby, Tick or skipping on the highway (it is NOT a playground) message....may now finally get through again like it used to years ago (BC) .. Before Cameras....

An' the "scared out of their wits numpty above 20 mph with NO sense of road craft or spacial awareness is the REAL problem!!!!"........ranting

Ahem!.......rolleyes

And the 3 Witches of: T2000, BRAKE, an' ERm? (I forget) need to get real.....Their kids died because of something other than speed.....a nutter!....a Drunk!.....a Joyriding git!

Sorry....But politicians please note. If you've got the GUTS ...We've got the VOTES!...

You KNOW your future job makes sense!......irked

It would shake 'em up a bit if the poll was in single figures next time though....
