The GT1 begs the question of why Lotus don't bring out a V8 road Elise. It looks superb and would be the next supercar for Lotus. Price it the same as the Esprit and it would sell like hotcakes. You could even all it Exige V8.
The esprit is nice but it does show its age. I liked Jeremy Clarcksons comment. "...the Esprit is like the Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, It started on vinyl, then tape, 8 track, and now CD.. but I still like the tune.."
I wanna GT1.....

In this link, anyone knows what the rather ugly car in the first picture on the second row is? A sportscar (well sort of) on monstertruck wheels??
the dark blue one?
it's a mercedes chassis (class M, 4x4) called Contender.
see small videos of superrally cars on the wet on :

ridiculous gathering: upper-class rally with cars driven outrageously slow with regards to their abilities....
Will someone ever have the ba*ls to organize discreetly a brand new Cannonball race???
Did you not see the Ruby Wax program late this summer, she joined a european cannonball. The parts in britain were tame, a few celebs joined for parts of it (Damon Hill in a diablo did the uk bit, Vic Reeves did the whole thing iirc) but the latter stages were hardly slow driving, one guy writing off an f355 at 160mph+.
