Has anyone got one of these ? I may be inheriting one as a company car and wondered if they're any good.

I test drove one early into the search for my replacement company car almost a year ago now.
I felt it was a good car, like the looks alot, handled fine but was a bit gutless. More grunt and I'd have had one.

My former business partner had one of these, an early one with the four speed auto. My impressions after a 500 mile in a day drive.

At 70k miles, it was well screwed together, no rattles, etc, but thats how Toyotas are!!

A bit cramped inside

Loads of toys, but some of the controls were cheap plastic (and thats coming from someone who had an Impreza Turbo at the time)

Slow initial acceleration, probably blunted by auto box

Very smooth and ate motorway miles effeciently, didn't drive it much round town.

Brilliant Cruise Control

hope that helps

PS I personally wouldn't have one as its too cramped inside for me and I'm only 6'.

Thanks guys. It seems that you think what I thought ie., I probably wouldn't have chosen it, but not a bad car nonetheless. Bit worried about the crampedness as I'm also 6'0".
