Just joined the ABD to support the cause

Good idea.
Politically the only option seems to be UKIP but a couple of their policies look a bit iffy at the moment.
Perhaps the people will do well to work outside mainstream politics for the time being, England being pretty much a one party state.

It will never happen
0.2% of the population, students, unemployed, trouble makers, Labour sicophants are able to make 99% of the headlines and the media are quite happy to serve them
remember the mess in London when no-global was smashing windows in the City? They seem have all disappeared
They are back under a new fur, the eco-fascists one. Same message, same target but now "let's save the earth from the pig capitalists with big gas guzzling cars" is the new credo
People like you and me have a job, a family, genuine interests... in a nutshell a life. So much so that we are happy and content and we are not willing to force our lifestyle onto others
These ones instead have a political agenda and plenty of time to spend on it
You finish your work, travel home, want to spend time with you girlfriend, taking care of your children, polishing the car, whatever.
The silent majority rarely demonstrates in the streets
I believe the best option still remains to expose the lies of these people for what they are, to expose the nature of their agenda to bring us back to the middle age while they are running the show with the excuse to save the Earth.
Hence I joined the ABD and I am suggesting friends and family to do the same
Voting will be next, while emailing MPs and the like about the fallacy of a UK unilateral economic blunder that will generate massive unemployment.
One day this "fashion" of the green fanaticism will fade away and for a simple reason
You cannot stop mankind, you can only slow it down. Politicians also cannot enforce draconian laws because they will lose and they know it
I am not saying to sit on the side of the river and wait to see the body of Greenpeace floating by... I am talking about a moderate active effort from each one of us: after all, being the majority, our small move will certainly counterbalance the screaming of the green lunatics

Yeah, I agree with everything in your last post. I have always taken an active interest in politics, but didnt ever fancy being a politician. This past few weeks have driven me to despair though, I feel like I needed to do something, rather than just air my views on PH. I believe that joining the ABD will be just the start for me, I`ve already taken to emailing Richmond Council, (although I live 250 miles away), writing to my local MP etc. Things I never imagined I would do, 5-10 years ago.
I just hope that the silent majority will catch-on to whats really happening, and start to be better represented in the media. I must admit the results of the next general election will have a major impact on myself and family staying in the UK, I feel its THAT bad.
All this from a family chap, married with 3 children, the youngest of which is less than 6 weeks old. Time is not easy to come by, my business and family are paramount, but I just can`t continue to sit in silence and let the buggers get away with it.

People react when they are hit in the wallet
This is a class war waged by green-labour and the eco-fascists. Some are doing it because they want to get a job on the green bandwagon, some are mostly deluded and others have a communist agenda under a different cloth.
It seems amazing that society is facing this challenge when prosperity (overall) seems to be so widespread. Labour and his friends want to keep and increase a distribution of welfare society where differences (financial, religious, ethical,...) will be smoothed out.
Differences are no good according to leftism because they are a bunch of envious people.
The car is truly the last bastion of freedom in that you can choose how to move and when and with what... they do not like that.
20,000 losers in London today to voice their message for climate change: how much they have polluted to reach London and go back home?
One can see really the conclusion of green fascism: a society with no growth, no consumption, no movement of people and ideas because all this uses energy
They want a society that it is stuck... 2 weeks ago I have been blessed with my wife with a baby as well and for the love of God I do not want him to grow in a society run by communists that are checking every single breath and taxing it
Gordon Brown wants to create 100,000 jobs in his latest green quango - to do what? checking how often one hits the keyboard of his/her computer?
Today they hit the car, tomorrow anything they like if they think they can get away with it
