Lollipop Rage

Stressed motorists are giving lollipop ladies a hard time

Wrexham Council is now coaching its school crossing patrols in the art of pacifying motorists and avoid confrontational situations.

After a number of incidents in which irate motorists have tried to push the patrols out of the way, the council has introduced extra training.

Although the incidents are still rare there have been occasions when motorists have got out of their cars to confront the lollipop patrols who have asked them to stop to allow children to cross.

One motorist even drove up onto the pavement to get around the hold up.

The patrols have been given personal safety alarms and trained in basic self defence skills. With some of the patrols being aged over 60, the training has been basic rather than advanced kung fu.

Seriously some of them are top notch numpties and others paragons of virtue. Watch out for any with portable life support machines (or stinger missiles)

Sounds fair enough to me, afterall a Lollipop Ladies mandate says that motorists must stop to allow them to cross school aged childrens, its when all the mums stand around in gaggles at the school gates and the bloody old biddy with the stick strides out in the road to stop traffic for the bloody witches of eastwick on their way home that pisses me off. Ignore your mandate at your peril "Lolly Pop Lady" I will have every justification in international law to run you over, just ask the Attorny General.......

You don't need a lollipop lady outside a school, you need a traffic warden. Think of all the revenue they could generate and even the increased safety because sight lines would be preserved .

We don't need no education.

Anyway, lollipop ladies do a good job for cr4p all money.

As said earlier, speed kills so driving on the pavement must be OK (as long as you don't exceed the speed limit).
