Micra / Jaguar Mark II conversion!
Discussion
I went last nigth without sleep and was day dreaming as I wandered through Camden when I saw a Mark II Jag with impossible proportions. A rub of the eyes to confirm I wasn't sleeping and by god, it was only a Micra with a Mark II Jag body kit!!!
Bit of googling shows it was more then likely a Mitsuoka Viewt.
There is also aparantly a VandenPlas Princess based on the micra.

It's just a bit of Jap fun they do it to loads of "classic" cars
If that's fun, I shall stick to pulling out my toe nails with a pair of pliers for light entertainment. In fact thrice nay, I shall book some tickets to go and see the Chuckle Brothers.
Can someone pass the designer of those abominations the sword, and ask him to do the decent thing that any shamed Japanese would do. Fall on it.

Surely Jaguar's lawyers were on the phone when that came out?
Even if they could stop laughing for long enough to pick up the phone I doubt they would condescend to do so.
The other weekend I saw a 4 poster bed driving down the M4. It's rediculous things like that and these comical cars that remind you that the world hasn't gone completely mad.
Sure theyre not the best looking cars but the v-dubs look kind of fun! How much of this is due to japanese regulations on size of cars in the city? People want to look like they own a big jag or retro cool car but arent allowed to due to engine size. How long before the gov. puts a size, cc and number owned restriction on all car owners in london?
Great post. I'm all in favour of extravagant design. I think they should have used something like a Skyline as the base vehicle. The idea reminds me of a gleaming white Beetle convertible I saw a long time ago. It was even more incongruous with a perfectly grafted Rolls Royce radiator nosejob. Talk about wasted effort.
I googled over to the Mitsuoka Viewt webpage. They get full marks from me for the refreshing honesty of their caption:
"Happy to hear it is full of atmosphere and presence rather than talent."
