insurance question
Discussion
My son had a minor biff in his car, an old biddy drove into his pug. Thing is they have played fair, admitted liability and a letter form their insurerers 'Incident Management' company has arrived to make arrangements to collect and fix the car.
But, they have said they will not provide a courtesy car due to him thoughtlessly being under 21. The letter of confirmation however promises the provision of a courtesy car.
Can anyone shed some light on this please?

A similar thing happened to me (except I caused it and the other guy needed a courtesy car) he got one out of my insurance company. I think it would be best for your son to ring his insurers and ask them about it, I have a feeling that they will give him a car and issue the old biddie's insurance company with the bill.
when i got hit i called a company called helphire.for a tenner i got a courtesy car, they arranged for the car to go in for assesment and legal representation(i was injured-needed micrsurgery on my eyelid and nose).
you are given a car of the same cc (or as close as possible)to the one you had smacked (even though they are fords!)
they will bill the other drivers insurance company for the hire period of the vehicle (around £75-90 a day) and at that price you know the other persons insurance company wants things dealt with a.s.a.p!
they only deal with non-fault clients.
hope thats a help.

Blimey, I wish I knew that a few years ago, my Range Rover (3.9) was hit by a young girl in a Clio and needed a small bit of bodywork (Clio was a write-off
). The body shop supplied me with a non-turbo diesel Uno! Gassing Station | Motoring News | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
