Went to see the movie last night - absolute hoot. For us PHers though the highlight is his AM Vanquish. The sight and sound is a glory to behold. A huge cheer went up in the theatre as he used his rear facing rockets to blast a speed camera that had just taken his picture. I won't spoil it for you by describing the circumstances - go see the movie, all will be explained....

By the way, its rumoured that Atkinson is taking a years sabbitical, a complete break from business, to take his Astons classic car racing. Obviously a PH candidate.

... is his AM Vanquish.
Was that really a Vanquish?

... Obviously a PH candidate.

He was racing at Castle Combe at the weekend in an ugly DB V8 variant, can't remember the exact model (:callyourselfaPHer:). Felt sorry for the bloke who put his orange DB5 into the tyre wall in the same race.

It was a AMV8 Zagato, mid eighties V8 rebodied by Italian(?) styling house. Probably not their finest work, but a very rare car.

Is that the same one that he allowed to be used in "The Tall Guy"? I have a very old issue of CAR Magazine dating from the late 80's that had an article on this Aston (including a picture of a very worried Atkinson as the road testers from CAR abused it), plus articles on a road-going Metro 6R4, a prototype ultimate Countach, and the Ferrari F40.
The front cover of the magazine simply said "there will never be another month like this".
