Well, I guess their thinking is that if Porsche can make a bit of money on the side with the Cayenne... hmm I could do with some extra pocket money. Anyone for a ShadowNinja NinjaStar 4x4? £150k, with all options and 30"... yes 30" alloys. None of that girly 24" rim nonsense. silly

Does it have a blower as well ast the flat 6? Just kidding - I think they are pretty cool. Can you get WRC type power from it?

Mine is the standard 3.3 H6 - chucks out about 230bhp (when it's running)

There are guys in the US who've messed about with turbocharging and supercharging them. Biggest problem is space in the engine bay, it's pretty cramped in there. Also with the oil cooler and positioning of the rads, inter-cooling isn't really an option.

I'd like to swap my fudge-based autobox (hence why it's not running) for a manual 6 speed STI unit, but funds and time don't currently allow.

I'm sure it is all possible - If I had one - I would do it - HOW HARD CAN IT BE....

You have to modify the pedal box, and fabricate some new transmission mounts - the bell housings are compatible.

A swap for a twin-turbo motor and transmission from a Legacy GTB might be a better proposition, with the right tweaks, 350bhp isn't unrealistic.
