Citroen have released the first details of their new C2. The 3 door supermini is quite distinctive and aimed firmly at the younger buyer.
Apparently the C2 promises to be the ‘wild child’ of the supermini sector with its purposeful bonnet, squared off headlamps and large wheel arches – providing room enough for 16" wheels.
Ensuring that its interior is as dynamic as its exterior, the four seat Citroën C2 boasts a range of bright, modern design schemes, including orange, blue and green, for the colour-coded trim and matching coloured translucent gear lever knob and armrests.
It may not be a luxo barge, but it's got plenty of high spec gizmos included. Air con, parking assistance, remote stereo controls, multi-adjustable steering wheel, onboard computer, pie holder, light sensitive headlamps, rain sensitive windscreen wipers and even an overspeed warning are all available.
And the C2 is brimming with safety equipment including ABS with EBD and EBA, automatic hazard warning lights, ESP and traction control. In the event of an impact, reinforcing bars in the doors, a retracting steering column help reduce the risk of injury whilst up to six airbags can inflate around you huge bellies.
Under the bonnet, C2 will offer up to 110bhp with the 1.6 VTR model and some wheezers below that.
It will go on sale towards the end of the year.
