The Painting of Lines -Notification Of **URGENT**

About Thursday last week it transpired that they are going to paint single yellow lines outside our house (restriction 8am - 6pm) tomorrow (Monday 17th)!!!

This, it seems, was mentioned in a local newspaper (which far from everyone reads!!) but we certainly have received no notification directly from anyone!

What makes it even more crazy is that we have retired people on our street (whose car's will be there all day) who have no alternative to park out the front of their houses since they have no rear access to their properties!!

This looks like it has been put in place because of some building going on just down the road...now I can understand perhaps limiting parking to where the lorries need to turn but the whole road, they're having a laugh!!

What makes it more of a joke is that the residents of our road have been blocking the painting of yellow lines on our road for many, many years now and now these ones are looking like appearing out of the blue for the term of the building work....or so they say...

Question is, are they allowed to do this with no direct notification and with so little public notice?

There's a man out there on this fine Sunday morning putting out cones so I need to try and find an answer quick!!
