Abt Takes Hold of S3

What do you do when your hot hatch just isn’t hot enough? In the case of the S3, you take it to Abt.

The latest undertaking by the German tuner will offer you an additional 49bhp (total now 310bhp), a special exhaust system, some coilovers and a set of 19in diamond cut five spoke AR alloy wheels. DTM driver and the company’s co-managing director Christian Abt has also set up the suspension.

Torque is up by 119lb-ft to 310lb-ft, which will push you to 62mph in 5.4 sec and on to a top speed of 160mph

...and from every other angle.

Abt claims this combination is perfect for daily use but also “shows distinctive racing genes”.     

You can buy the car as new from Abt Sportsline or you can take your own S3 and apply Abt's enhancement package.

I don't think much of the standard S3 wheels really. Too plain looking, I have seen a few with RS4 alloys and make the car look meaner somehow.

The new A3 is just too angular to ever be remotely attractive (IMHO of course).

How much better you can make it look? But if you're an Audi tuner, I guess you got no choice.

Agreed! the wheels do not suit this car atall! but there crap anyway! the RS4 wheels on the other hand would look well nice! the S3 does look pretty plain for such a fast car, but i suppose audi don't want to go to far with beefing up the styling, they're waiting for the RS3 to do that!
