In Crown Street, Sydney, Australia the car showrooms are also high class resturaunts with cars dotted between the tables. One of the garages/resturaunts is an MG one. Perhaps they should try it here.

Makes a lot of sense particularly if MG Rover ensure the cars are way over-priced, provide limited choice, ensure they are slightly warm-hatches, and provide the service using underage uninterested spotty oiks who consider you to be a interuption t their mobile conversation with our gary/debs , or illegal immigrants

Probably ignorance but for me those two do not sit well together.

You would be very surprised, in places like Melbourne and Sydney and, errr, well thats about it, you get some of the best value and quality food. Masses of variety (Italian, Thai, Indian Japanesse etc., great quality fesh ingredients (Fish especially) and wine to go with it. Its not all corked hats and sheep shagging, thats only 95% of the country. Oh, and you haven't eaten fresh swordfish until you have done it in a Lotus showroom!

No offence meant to Mark Webber or any other Aussie and I don't doubt that the food is really great. Its just that I see Aussies as being down to earth straight sort of people, its "high class" and all the garbage that goes with it that seems incongrous.

My brother has just returned from three months in Southern Oz but as he can bore for England I've avoided his stories and photos so far, I'll have to give in soon!
