I'm not surprised MB is hitting suppliers of low quality parts to fit MBs. I've bought a couple of minor body trim parts to fit my aged Benz from a well known chain of European car part suppliers, the parts might as well be made of cheese. I'd be very wary getting e.g. suspension parts from that source.
There was a TV programme exposing the sources of some of these cheap parts, a year or so ago. Doesn't give one a great deal of confidence

i think someone at MB was watching that prog too, it actually had the bonnet badges on the show from euro car parts!
