Hi P;hers i have just bought a mk2 golf 16v and got rid of my mk4 turbo why is insurance costing me £16 more on top of my existing policy, im sure the mk4 turbo falls in a higher group car than the mk2 golf 16v...And please can anyone let me know a.s.a.p what group both cars are classed as ...A friend of mine says they dont look at groups anymore its all about the new car vs old cars.......Thanks....would appreciate if someone got back to me quick as i need to insure the car fast......cheers.......Adil

Simple its all to do with the risk profile of a specific model - and as it turns out the M2 16V has had more claims against it therefore even if it is a much lower ins group then the premium will be higher than a much lower risk car.Gassing Station | Motoring News | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
