If you were dumped by BMW with no money and no time with your best assetts ripped or sold off, i doubt anyone could do better.
Best of luck Rover , hope it sells.

Not Evo but hey, why not ? 1.4 litre engine, manual window winders, £6500. Honest motoring at it's best.

What are the rivals and prices (I haven't got an ordered price list of all cars in the UK in front of me) ?

The most horrid car I could think of is a Daewoo Matiz (0.8 !!!!) and that's £6595.

You got to remember that this is the most important car for MG Rover, sod any x-power vehicle.

Speaking with someone high up a few months back, they planned on doing a much bigger make over on the Tata, but at the end of the day a simple nose (bumper and grille) job externally had to suffice to keep development costs down.

Basically, they could have a smart looking supermini with average dynamics selling at a loss, or a average looking supermini with average dynamics selling at a (albeit small) profit. No surprise what MG Rover went for.

seems potential buyers really dont care that its made in India either.

This car will be driven by the "new car addicts"

You know the type, people who buy a £6000 car EVERY registration change, keep it for 6 months, do 1000 miles and change it, and loose about £3000 in the process.

Every street has one
If they didn't then shite new cars would not sell

Just had another thought, in 5 years time the Lax Power brigade will need a replacement for their Saxo's, this could be a candidate

Nobody is forced to drive one but if it helps them fund more interesting projects I'm all for it.

Will it have a curry hook as standard?

Its a little gizmo to which you can hook your take away to stop it filling the footwell. Fitted to new Range Rover or some such car that is probably far too snobby to carry a take away.

If they do a hot verson they could badge it Madras or Vindaloo. I hear it has a tikka instead of a digital clock, my nan would approve.

The moment I read about this vehicle...I thought I bet they delete the curry hook in case they upset anyone's sensibilities...especially if it is targeteted atformer Sunny owners!

Toffer is BAD tonight!

PS I am not revealing details of what a curry hook is...just wish I had one in one of my cars!

An upset curry is not a pretty sight!
