Email the Chancellor, the Rt. Hon. Alistair Darling MP at darlinga@parliament.uk
to protest against the Government's proposed 2p/litre fuel duty increase.

In the UK we pay the highest fuel prices in Europe if not the world and a further 2p increase is just not on. As Pistonheads.com already reported, for every £1.05 of fuel that we buy 66p of this goes to HM Government!

I am surprised that when the £1/litre mark was broken last year, more people didn't protest! Well now is your chance! Email Mr Darling now!

See my post regarding fuel prices. Emails to the chancellor are unlikely to work without a wider protest.

Scrap it?
Won't make any difference the way fuel prices are escalating 'prior' to the next staged 2p increase.

This time last year petrol was around 0.86p litre, now locally it is today £1.06 - £4.77 a gallon! - it's rising so fast yet nobody complains? What's happened to this country? We might just as well roll over and give up.

By the time the next Darling 2p increase comes in April it will probably be £1.11
- yep, the magic Fiver a gallon.

And after all the palava about petrol 'will arghhhhhhhh, soon be a £1 a litre - shock!'

The way things are going it's only a matter of time before the £1.50 a litre (£6.75 gallon) - that'll get some of 'em off the roads.

About time the price went back up on the forecourt in Gallons.

Might wake some up!

Although somehow doubt it - this country's already gone over the precipice.
