It seems this madness just gets worse and worse. From the ever left wing BBC:

"Vehicles driving on roads in planned eco-towns will have to stick to 15mph speed limits, it has emerged."

When will the madness end and some people focus on the bloody economy for a change and making that right instead of taxing us to the hilt and coming up with ever more ludicrous self-serving bureaucratic laws!

Link here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7311548.stm

It goes on to say:

"The restriction is among proposals designed to minimise the environmental impact of the settlements.

Government sources say the new town centres are to be car-free, and the 15mph limit will be enforced on "key roads" leading into them."

We all know a car is more efficient at 50mph, not 15mph as I guess we would be in second, not third gear for most cars!

I wonder if it's a case of bury the news again on Easter Monday when people won't see it as they are not at work - Governments spin at it's best.

Country has gone to the dogs and the eco-mentalist bureaucrats have won!

Driving at 15 MPH is more polluting than driving at 10MPH, so why don't we all drive at 10MPH.

Hmm it seems like this global warming malarkey is just another money maker!!

15 MPH in first gear at high revs.

More polluting that doing 30 in 3rd or 4th!

As I said in another thread, if these lentil eaters are so concerned about saving the planet, then why don't they shut their electricity off?
