Jaguar sold to India
Discussion
Im sure the Indians feel all full of themselves...Its funny how British and American Business Philosophy(Cheep at any costs) built cheep cars and weak companies that either fall, get bought up by quality manufacturers or simply New Money...at least in the UK the businessmen dont blame the unions for the fall of the companies...

Ford sold AM to David Richards of Prodrive, but they've still got a share I think.
Will be interesting to see if Jag stays prestige or goes all cheap & cheerful on us.
It was not sold to DR. It is owned by a consortium, which includes DR - but yes, FMC still have an interest. Will be interesting to see if Jag stays prestige or goes all cheap & cheerful on us.

With the fantastic reception the XF has recived I find this daft - Ford have invested so much and to bail out now seems daft. I know they're struggling to put it mildly but this seems daft.
Didn't they do something similar with AM or am I mad ?
Bought in 1989 for circa 2.5bn. Invested 10bn. Never realised a profit. Which bit of selling it seems daft..?Didn't they do something similar with AM or am I mad ?
