Range Rover V12 In Pipeline?
Rumour Mill: Land Rover working on 12-cylinder SUV
We’ve been told to expect some exciting new Jaguars under Tata’s ownership but there hasn’t been much word about Land Rover’s future models.
But now spy photographers have snapped what they describe as a V12 Range Rover.
Apparently the quad-exhausts and front bumper layout indicate it is a V12, but we are not entirely convinced just yet.
Land Rover is said to be planning to move the next version of the giant SUV even further up market so a V12 is not entirely inconceivable.
Some reports suggest top-flight versions of the new Range Rover could compete with Bentleys at over £100,000.
A few years back there were rumours of an Aston V12 being put under the bonnet.

I think TATA should try placing one with Ken... by the time it comes out he should be unemployed and hopefully far away from London, he may well need a car...
and when he does become unemployed i cant see many people wanting to offer him any sort of job with all the bad decisions he makes

sounds like a daft idea, surely a large high performance diesel engine is a better bet? They already have the supercharged "range rover sport".
Daft. No.Brilliant. Yes.
They already have a high performance diesel with the TDV8 in both the footballers (sorry - sport version) and proper Range Rovers.
They also have the supercharged 4.2 V8 in both versions.
A V12 is a great idea. Why not?
..... with an Eaton super charger and Quad turbos and drive it over Kens Face!
sorry i dont know where that came from. I assume if they did it would still be able go through all the tilt angles the other rangies do. Isn't the Aston V12 already dry sump?

Jesus, they're going to be stealing the trophy off Audi for mad over engined creations.
I can't expect many will be registered in the UK. Not only will you have to suffer a fuel bill similar in scale to Eddie Stobbart's but you'll also become an instant figure of hate and envy for the green brigade.

Hmmm. Sounds interesting. Would love to see the engine bay.
Shame BMW did not think of that one (at the time) and put their silky V12 in it.
Ah but they did, although it never went on sale if my sources are correct. The current Range Rover in its original state (BMW engined) could take the V12 as a drop in upgrade, providing a suitable gearbox could be found. k you to the authorities. Even though they won't sell in high enough numbers to have a big impact on the environment.
