''blockading''
Discussion
I am new to teh forum, and guessing that this is a bitter bitter topic!! But why isnt anyone doing anything about the price of fuel?? Years ago we were blockading fuel distribuation centers - rolling road blocks!! Basically . . . . where are we happy to except that stupidly high petrol prices now and not then??
With all the Pistion Head members, surely we can do something??

I've tried to get this lot of their arses but no luck!
To be fair most people on here are very hard working and a large percentage have family etc but there is also a lot of moaning with out action.
This may be of interest though - http://fuelandtaxprotest.mfbiz.com/#
A pity its only from Scotland - But I suppose theres nothing to stop us Southerners going up to London.

I did the website.
TBH i'm a little dissapointed with some peoples responses.
The amount of debate on here and other motoring sites has been overwhelming - yet most are quite happy to moan yet just sit there and do nothing.
A lot of people have argued that where will a run down the M1 into London get us?
Maybe knowhere, but i as a person have sent e-mails to my local councillors and my MP Michael Meacher expressing my disgust at the current rate of road and fuel taxation.
There has been uproar recently over the scrapping of the 10% tax rate yet the amount of extra taxation paid by the average person is far less than the extra person pays due to extra taxation in fuel and road fund tax - yet in the media, nothing is said.
Maybe nothing will come of it i mean nearly a million people protested against the Iraq war yet they carried on regardless. But if we do this, if one MP stands up and takes notice then surely that is something and is worth doing.
Ask yourself - as a motorist are you fed up with getting f**ked over and being made an easy target for extra taxation to prop up a goverment that cant sustain the economy.
So lets put up or shut up.

The strange thing that gets to me, is that this affects EVERYONE!! and even those in a position to make a noise (Transport companies - meadia chiefs etc. . . ) still decide not too!! It would take a handful of transport companies to make a dent - but 100,000's of 'US' to make a dent!!!
Your right that people moan all day long, but dont have the balls to do anything!!!
Theres me hoping to buy a Porsche at the end of May! Should I be getting a Toyota Prius?
