Hell for leather Carlsson

German tuning house makes Merc more mental

Grrrrrrr
Grrrrrrr
Tuner Carlsson has announced a limited edition version of the Mercedes CL 65 AMG with an engine uprated to over 700bhp and an interior designed in league with luxury leather brand Aigner.

Just 10 versions of the Carlsson Aigner CK65 RS ‘Eau Rouge’ Dark will be built, costing between £267,000 and £320,000 depending on engine spec. Two optional upgrades to the 612bhp twin turbo V12 are offered, making 705bhp and 756bhp respectively – mainly down to electronic remapping, but also thanks to reworked inlet and exhaust systems. The beefier version is claimed to do 0-62mph in 3.8 secs, and is electronically limited to 208mph.

The model is available exclusively with the two-tone black and grey paintjob pictured, and a body kit that includes carbon spoilers and rear diffuser. The cars also get ‘intelligent suspension’ that automatically adjusts ride height to road surface conditions.

Inside, the seats and all visible plastic surfaces have been re-trimmed in Aigner products. Suitably ensconced in their leathery cockpits, the 10 lucky owners will be able to ponder Carlsson’s claim that this new edition is “the most exciting means of travelling at the moment”.

Exterior changes, No thankyou.

Interior work, Yes please.

This is really how it should have left the factory.

wtf @ the price? how can they justify it?

interior is ok apart from the wheel though, horrible exterior.

would rather spend the money on making the standard car as quick and pocket the change..

Not a fan of the exterior, but I think that some of the interior mods are an improvement.

Have always thought the S/CL class interior wasn't up to scratch for such a car - needs more opulence, which this seems to have.

And I wouldn't mind 756bhp!

Im liking the sound of a 756Bhp twin turbo V12!! But that exterior is hideous!!

The Interior is rather lush though!! Apart from the Horrible Stearing Wheel!

i really dont know what you guys are talking about - this car is beautiful. Yes the interior is 10 times better than the exterior but you've gotta give it to them for keeping all mods modest and subtle despite the absolute monster under the hood.

Pricewise - it looks like it's been built to a really high standard and its only 1 sec off a BV at a third of the price!

How much???

Interior is lovely, as I'm sure the engine is, but it's pretty awful outside.

+1 But I also have to agree with general 190. The steering wheel is beyond awful.

Rather have a Bentley for that money (or anywhere near it), but I'm sure they'll find 10 AMG fans who'll take the plunge.

If I had enough money to buy the car then the first thing I would do is take straight to the paint shop. That way no-one would ever know I have more money than sense/style!!! Oh, and contact AMG for a new steering wheel.
