Car insurance changes
Discussion
Apologies if this topic has already been covered,
I read the other day in a motoring magazine that the law regarding car insurance has been changed, apparently you now need cover even if your car is off the road, i.e SORNed, does anyone know more info on this? I was just thinking this is crazy, what if you have a collection of non runners or a restoration project, do they really expect us to waste money insuring a car that isn't road worthy? Any thoughts please post!

As far as I know, which isn't much on this subject, this only applies if your car is taxed, if your car is sorn then it doesn't apply, or at least you can get your car the equivalent of sorn for insurance purposes.
There was a thread on here a while ago about this but I can't find it.

There is no requirement for insurance if your vehicle is either declared SORN or was untaxed prior to SORN coming into force.
