Yes, they will ~ some folks never learn.

I do not think we will see folks forming queues to pay over the odds for any again though .... more fool them if they do.

It's well over forty years since I bought my first new car ~ I have never paid list ~ always sold my one owner from new used car privately or passed on in the family and so was able to shop around for worthwhile discounts.

Some manufacturers are selling at below cost, (a) to shift their large stocks and (b) maintain some cashflow.

See how much you can pick up something from Chrysler for.....

Not just Chrysler? Have you seen some of the deals on almost new Vauxhalls? OK, maybe not everyone's cup of tea but there are some cracking offers going about. For example, another wadge off Vectra's now that the Insignia has launched (why does that ruddy 80's shower gel advert tune pop into my head everytime I mention that name!).

Any GM product is going to be cheap. GM are almost bust. (over)Supply v demand.

Just back from a prestige auction and most VAG product were fetching £1000 over book. Seems a national shortage has the buyers very bullish with cheque books.

Just a thought.

With the euro xchange rate the UK is the cheapest place to buy a car. You should try Ireland!!

Because my current one is quicker than the new one, and I have another car on order already!
