Wow. I thought that if one of them was going to survive it would be P1.

Lets hope Ecurie pulls through.

Pity, that. Not too surprising in current economic conditions, though.

Bad blood between Damon and his former manager Michael Brean, had to come
to a head at sometime.
I would like to think they will pull through ,Michael's not a dafty.
They had a good team in the early days Nick Hancock ,Jo Haddon ,who I believe
is in Dubai helping out some guys out there .
P1 deserves to suceed even in these difficult times.
CREDIT CRUNCH CAR CLUB! why not?

Sorry , still don't think P1 will fold. And no I don't work for them.
Business just now is all about litigation, "Dog Eat Dog ", Damon is just
flexing his muscles, but as I said before MB is not a dafty.
The market can sustain a P1 and an Ecurie surely ?
All the rest were rubish anyway .
Still by far the best way to have some fun with your clothes on!
"Pay as you go -.dial one in- ", prostituation of the Supercar Hire Industry
That's all it is . Way to go !!. Use it- and abuse it ,and hand it back. Welcome------
to the 21st centuary.
We are now officially called Transumers.
Whats your thoughts ??? (ROBSTI)

I heard one of the clubs fitted black boxes to its cars to monitor the amount of abuse they received - doesn't sound like they allowed a lot of fun.

But can the business model handle the dramatic depreciation of 55 supercars at the value of 6 million when membership and renewals are reported to be down

I think you'll find all clubs/hire co companies do this as it's specified by their insurance policy. They don't monitor abuse (the ECU does that now IIRC), they're just sophisticted trackers so they know where their assets are.

The trip computers on Lamborghinis record how naughty you were so if you are borrowing one - the owner will now how fast you went in it!

Sure, I heard that one firm went a bit further than that though.

Yes, If these cars weren't monitored I'd imagine the temptation from the club members to take the cars to an airfield would be too great.

the concept of the supercar club is basically flawed,Rio Prestige i think have more chance of getting through the CRUNCH! no membership fee so if the company goes tits up you loose nothing you just pay as you go.what do you think (zoungair)?

Well Robsti, as they say it's the only way. "Pay as you go " Maybe
Maranello- or is that Marello is not that daft after all.
We could all have saved fortunes if we had listened to his wise words.

Was that an investment ,or just a deposit!!?
I believe bank secretcy is not what it used to be.
The Swiss franc has gone all "bendy" and I believe thats
where Damon keeps his dosh .
Don't quote me on this but I have been told
P1 is still taking on new "MEMBERS".
Apparantly the have just got a fully restored TESTAROSSA !
