BMW CS1
Is this the new 1 series?
Discussion
I'd say I like it, but I really don't see anything to get excitied about one way or the other..
It's got a bimmer badge, so it's still going to be loved by some and hated by others..
Can't get myself worked up enough to slag it off & those doing so for the sake of it have obviously got nothing better to do..

Mind you though, I'm sure if it was vegetarian or had a Greenpeace badge on, it'd be a different story, right ?

I said the frist thing that came into my mind. Oh, apart from "lunch", but that wasn't relevant

Over here you can hear an urban legend about Fiat Coupe. Basically it says that someone, passing near the soft body shape, scratched it near wheelarches. The boss liked that scratches very much and the rest is the story. (Ugly one)
I think that in this case someone fallen over and over the soft shape.
And it is soooooo boooooring. BMW or not.

My initial reaction is....YUK!
However, I think photos may not do this new design philosophy justice. I hated the look of the new 7 series, but saw a black one on the road the other day and it looked very striking in the flesh. I also remember being impressed by the Z9 concept at B/Ham.
I do think it's a bit of an over-reaction from BMW though. A few years ago Ford were stung by critism of the boring look of their cars so they gave us....the Scorpio and the Ka. BMW's may be conservative, but that's how many people like 'em.
Perhaps now's the time to buy a current M3 and stick it in a de-humidified garage. One day people might look back and say it was the last of the "real" BMW's.

I am trying (real hard) to imagine it in Coupe version and full race trim. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
New Rule: "Any vehicle being so ugly that it causes other drivers, fans and sponsors indegestion and impotence, will be considered unfit for racing and banned from all events.".
BMW really do have a sense of humor!

They seem to have ruined the nice flat line that the current convertible has with the roof down. This one has the roof sticking up. Not too keen on the rest of the styling.
I have a 330ci convertible as my everyday car, which I think I will hold onto if this is the style they are going to change to.
