Stick a post in the bodywork section you should get a reply there. Or if you dont mind the flak....go over to www.detailingworld.co.uk and ask there too...
KevF thanks for the link......but i'm thinking along the decent finish and drive it line rather than polish it to death routine, look at your face and next doors house in the reflection, put it away in the garage, get it out later polish it some more and then not drive it cos the weather looks a bit iffy...sadly been there done it...want to try driving one for a change...but many thanks kind sir...
David,
Well, if the stuff is a waterless wash then they do work to a point but can do minor damage to the paintwork over time if used continuously....however, there are some good ones on the market now.
When I was detailing, I had some stuff called Miracle Dry Wash which was great and kept the van clean plus left a decent finish. Most of these products are good for minor dust but when the car has fairly heavy dirt then a decent wash is needed.
Other than that, I would recommend that once you've washed the car and waxed it, buy yourself some Dodo Red Mist and use that afterwards. It works as a detailing spray with a sealant combined. It leaves the paintwork looking very reflective and wet looking....

I've tried it , still got some actually. I'd never use it without giving the car a wash first though. Also I don't spray it on the car either as it leaves white overspray in the awkward to reach areas, I pour a small amount onto a damp microfibre cloth and work it in like a polish , then buff off with a clean microfibre cloth. It's not a bad product , you can feel the results as much as see them in the smoothness to touch of the paintwork. I'll probably get flamed from the obsessive compulsives on here but each to their own
