The sports car with a sleeping berth!

This year's Geneva Motor Show will no doubt see another crop of mad concept cars on show. Taking place at the beginning of March, the show usually has some interesting and significant debuts too.

Amongst this year's concepts will be the EDAG genX. EDAG are a German engineering consultancy. The concept is intended to show off the company's design and engineering skills in an eye catching way.

The cab forward sports coupe incorporates a number of modern design cues but its most distinctive feature is that it comes complete with an 'Adequate sleeping berth'.

An electric roof somehow plays a part in this, making more space in the cabin for when parked up. The two pods at the sides double up as suitcases. Could be handy for Le Mans in 2010...

Very interesting concept, but I can't help thinking that the same people who made the VW campervan have got hold of a Koenissegg (or however you spell it.)

The look of the car is slightly odd in my opinion, the rear section behind the cabin which i would take to be the engine bay is too long, I mean what engine is gonna take that much space, unless they're using something with the CC of a rr merlin.

The wasp-waisted design reminds me of Alien by I.A.D. (designed by Martin Longmore) back in 1986.

A great idea. I've just bought my dream car, and now want to "do Europe", unfortunately I have skinted myself in the process. Can't imagine persuading the missus to sleep in the car or even the most high-tech of 2 man tents, I look forward to seeing this finished.

I thought this was the next generation Honda Gold Wing, finally accepting that two wheels aren't enough for a bike the size of a car.
