and sad news
today nissan sunderland announced an extra 400 jobs for the production of the newly facelifted qashqai.. currently there is a 14 week wait for the car and its made bosses add a 3rd shift to the already struggling to keep up workforce.

sad news is the micra ends production in the uk this year and toyota also is looking to shed 750 jobs in the uk also..

mixed feelings..

or is it right product wins the day?

Revised Quashcow you say? Don't suppose the new one looks like an attractive, sporty family car, instead of a very boxy, small FWD SUV?

Thought not rolleyes

Shame about the Micra, although I've heard from an insider that it will continue to be made abroad. (China I think)

The quashkey really is a good example of the masses not knowing what the fk they're doing when it comes to cars. 3 of mh neighbours have them as does my f.i.l.. His is parked on my drive at the ment while he is on hols. Driven it acouple of times out of interest and it's just horrible. Why people would buy them over a focus or a golf I do not know. F.I.l. Bought his as he 'needed' 4x4 as the hl to where he lives was a nit icy in the winter. His isn't 4x4 but he refuses to look underneath it for me to point to the lack of a driveshaft.
