Renault Wind

New convertible concept from Renault

Renault is to unveil a roadster concept at the Geneva Show in March.

The 2+1 roadster marks a step into new territory for the French company.

Although billed as a concept car, there is sufficient detail on the car to suggest that serious consideration is being given to production. Powered by a 2 litre 16 valve engine, the Wind gets 136bhp. The gearbox is a six speed semi-auto.

The car gets a soft, three ply roof and a glass rear window. A reasonable sized boot is included in the design.

I have to say it looks rather like a TVR - what do you think Stig?

The result of a high speed impact between a Z4 and a micra?

Interesting and odd looking in my opinion, but thats kinds renault's thing these days.

Looks a lot like the Enjoy concept to me. Hope it will be more successful than the Sport Spider

a little SEAT Tango-ish as well with the glass area (still not clear if the Tango has been canned or not)

Seen worse, the front looks like one of those kit car/concept thingys that went bust last year, side like a Kaksport, the rear like a ??? Note the rear lights on the top flat surface. The only car I saw with the rear lights covered in the last load of snow falls was a new Megane. THe snow simply covered the lights and left the car with a bit of a glow at the rear.
Design Fault!!

Oh, Its the Renault Z4 350Z MX5 CC!

Break it down,
front = 350Z
Side = Z4
Back = 307CC
Left overs = MX5

Bodo could have done a better job on photoshop in 5 mins!

Forgot to add: Badge = Renault!

Looks like a Z3 to me. Nothing to do with the badge, just an instant reminder of the Barry Manilow bonnet and overall proportions.

As soon as a manufacturer does something different everybody slags it, why?
Yes it looks different is that not the appeal? Or do we all want to drive around in our bland Euro boxes? I have a Cerbera and a new fat backside Magane why because both of these cars are different from the norm, I really dont give a s*** if the snow covers my lights (clean it off before you drive it) or whatever other faults it may have (and yes it has a few). I suppose I could have purchased the "best in class" Ford Focus, which I could wash on a Sunday morning with the rest of the street washing theirs no thanks.
I will now step down from my and get my coat.
